SUMMARY:Timecards and Timekeeping in Five Acts: MicroApps in APEX for Web\, Desktop\, Slack\, SMS\, and Voice (APEX Series\, Presentation 14)
DESCRIPTION:Accurate and timely reporting of time is the lifeblood of a services business. In this case study\, we reimagine the classic time card as an APEX Microapp deployed in five different flavors: as a web app\, as a native desktop app\, in Slack (desktop & mobile)\, and as a chatbot on both SMS and Voice. This approach allows the application to utilize any channel to reach out and collect time from team members. \nJerry Ward is a co-founder and managing partner at Texas-based Viscosity North America\, a leading software consulting company focused on cloud applications\, solution architecture\, and development. He has served as a consulting architect for Novation\, VHA\, UHC\, Aptitude\, Vizient\, Zynx\, Kellogg Brown and Root\, Invesco\, Fidelity National Financial\, Dresser Rand\, Fresenius Medical Care\, Ericsson\, Nortel Networks\, and the Human Genome Sequencing Center at Baylor College of Medicine. Jerry lives in Austin\, Texas and speaks regularly on technology\, business\, and all things Oracle. He has a BSE in computer engineering from SMU\, a data science specialty from Johns Hopkins University\, and has been featured in the Houston Chronicle\, Venice Magazine\, 002 Houston\, KXAN Austin\, Tyler Morning News\, and Gulfscapes Magazine\, among others. \nYou must register at https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/3735935294318350849 if you want to attend this event. \n
